Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 bench-top explosives trace detector produced by Implant Sciences has been certified by ASTM according to ASTM E2520-07 standard practices. This certification has proved that QS-B220 is effective for detection of lower quantities of RDX, PETN and TDT explosives.
American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), now known as Cambridge Polymer Group, has scrutinized and tested QS-B220 for certification.
QS-B220 has also acquired CE certification in recent times and is examined for usage throughout the world by many security agencies and companies.
Glenn D. Bolduc, CEO and President of Implant Sciences, said that QS-B220 certification has taken the commercialization of detectors in US to the next level and added that first responders and non TSA security screeners can rely on QS-B220 detector with confidence.
QS-B220 detector is a modified version of QS-H150, which is also an explosive trace detector. These detectors can quickly detect a broad range of domestic, commercial and army explosives. In addition, QS-B220 can detect narcotic drugs. QS-B220 follows the conventional practices of Implant Sciences, which are free from radio active materials and cost effective with better performance.
Implant Sciences produces sensors for use in Security, Safety and Defense (SS&D) fields. They have supplied a broad variety of security products to cargo facilities, airports, subways, financial institutions, government buildings, police departments, railway, military units and nuclear power plants.
