Microchip, a leading analog semiconductors and microcontroller vendor has been honored by three leading publications in the industry for its world-class analog products, mTouch sensing solutions and eXtreme Low Power (XLP) type PIC microcontrollers.
The PIC24F16KA nanoWatt XLP PIC microcontrollers of Microchip was awarded the Innovation Award by the EDN Magazine in the Microcontroller category, resulting in the second consecutive win for the company in this category.
This company was also a finalist for the Analog Signal Path group due its MCP651/2/5 operational amplifiers. The most spectacular and advanced electronic product is nominated by the technical editors of EDN, while EDN readers vote for the candidates through an online voting process. Then an aggregate of the readers’ votes and its editorial advisory board’s ballots is utilized by EDN for declaring the final winner for every category.
The MCP2036 Inductive Touch-Sensing Analog Front End (AFE) of Microchip named the Product of the Year in the ‘Best AFE Sampling System’ group by EN-Genius Network. Award winners are chosen out by the respective editorial team based on the possibility of market success and technical merit during the year.
These two products from Microchip were finalists in the annual Golden Mousetrap Awards from Design News Magazine. The PIC24F16KA microcontrollers were nominated in the category of Power Management while in the category of Components, Hardware and Interconnects the MCP651/2/5 op amps were nominated.
Microchip’s COO Ganesh Moorthy informed that the designers prefer the synergistic convenience provided by the wide range of the company’s low power analog products and the open source type mTouch sensing solutions’ flexibility. He added that these products will provide the best solutions for customers for their designs in the embedded categories.
