PCTEL, a manufacturer of antenna and RF solutions headquartered in Bloomingdale, Illinois, announced that it has showcased the latest Multiband GPS L1/L2 Antenna solution along with the ProsettaCore Security Solution and other antenna products at the AUSA Winter Symposium held at the Florida’s Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center from 22-24 February, 2012.
The new ruggedized GPS L1/L2 antenna solution has been designed for unparalleled and uninterrupted performance in heavy duty and high precision GNSS tracking applications. The antenna provides both GPS L2 and GPS L1 satellite reception. The antenna provides better isolation from nearby RF interference. This is facilitated by combining a Low Noise Amplifier gain of 33dB along with greater out-of-band rejection. The GPS-L1L2-28MAG meets DO-160 environmental standards required for airborne equipment as well as MIL461 standards for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI).
A lightweight solution weighing less than 6 oz., the GPS-L1L2-28MAG provides a magnetic pull force of 20 lb., which makes it best suited for multi-band GNSS antenna platform used for defense and military applications including UAVs, communication gear and vehicle tracking. Its commercial applications include mining and precision agriculture.
The Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing at PCTEL, Jeff Miller stated that the demand for ruggedized and reliable precision antenna solutions by mining, agriculture and defense customers has been fulfilled with the new GPS L1/L2 antenna that can operate in RF interference-prone zones.
PCTEL’s joint venture, PCTEL Secure will demonstrate the ProsettaCore security solution, which has been developed for target security breaches and cell phone security. It enables multiple theater and mission specific policies on tactical radios, phones and tablets.
