InvenSense a Sunnyvale-based provider of advanced MotionTracking devices, has announced that the latest motion sensing technologies including dual-axis gyroscopes, integrated 9-axis and 6-axis MotionTracking devices will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress to be held in Barcelona from 27th February to 1st March at App Planet, booth#7F24.
Motion interface has become an essential component in mobile and consumer electronic devices such as tablets, smart TVs, gaming devices and smartphones. Motion interface is crucial for accurately tracking complex user defined motion in free space and it integrates several motion sensors such as gyroscopes, compasses and accelerometers.
InvenSense will showcase MPU-915, a 9-axis MotionTracking device integrated with run-time calibration firmware and MotionFusion to eliminate integration challenges. The MPU-9150 device has been developed for mobile phones, wearable sensors, tablets and smartphones. The MotionTracking technology ensures that sensor calibration and fusion algorithms provide optimized heading and motion performance required for indoor navigation, augmented reality and gaming.
At the Mobile World Congress, InvenSense will also showcase the IXZ-2020 and IDG-2020 family of dual-axis gyroscopes. The gyroscope fulfills the optical image stabilization (OIS) requirements in smartphones and can also be used in handheld GPS navigation devices, sports equipment and game controls.
The MotionFit SDK (System Developers Kit) wearable sensors and the 1:1 movement tracking application designed for gesture control, augmented reality, gaming and indoor tracking solutions will also be showcased at MWC 2012. It has been designed to accelerate commercialization and design of wearable sensor devices for remote health monitoring and fitness markets.
