A sensor and explosives trace detection systems manufacturer headquartered in Wilmington, Massachusetts, Implant Sciences has announced that its range of Quantum Sniffer detectors will be showcased at the 18th Annual International Security Safety & Fire Exhibition (SICUR) being held in Spain at the Madrid Exhibition Centre from 28th February to 2nd March, 2012.
The Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 and the QS-B220 will be on display at Target Tecnologia’s booth# 10F26. Target Tecnologia is Implant Sciences’ distributor in Spain. SICUR is an exhibition for safety and security industry professionals and features the latest developments in CCTV, equipment for security forces, access surveillance and control, burglar alarms and centralized alarms,physical security services, surveillance services and web-based security solutions.
The QS-H150 is a portable explosives trace detector that ensures high security for both public infrastructures and private buildings. The QS-B220 is a radioactive-free detector developed to trace various improvised, commercial, homemade and military grade narcotics and explosives. Both the QS-B220 and the QS-H150 have been designated by the US Department of Homeland Security as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technologies under the SAFETY act (Support Anti-terrorism by Fostering Effective Technology Act) of 2002. The QS-B220 has received the CE Certification and the ASTM E2520 Certification.
The President and CEO of Implant Sciences, Glenn D. Bolduc expressed his excitement at its expansion into the European markets by praising the opportunity to demonstrate the Quantum Sniffer range of products through their distributor Target Tecnologia at the global conference.
In 2011, two units of the QS-H150 were deployed by a European bank and a European EOD school.
