Measurement Specialties has announced that the Model 606M2 IEPE, a triaxial seat pad accelerometer has been released to production.
The 606M2 IEPE device, featuring a detachable triaxial IEPE accelerometer, has been aimed at characterizing whole body vibration in accordance with ISO 8041 and ISO 2631-1. The nitrile rubber seat pad features the accelerometer with an output sensitivity of 100 mV/g. The Model 606M2 is ideally suited for low frequency measurements and provides a measurement resolution of less than 0.4 mg. Furthermore, it is available with a detachable cable of 10 ft length along with three BNC connectors.
The rugged Model 606M2 device offers a dynamic range of ±50g along with over shock protection up to ±5,000g. The accelerometer is suitable for low frequency measurements ranging from 0.5 to 1000 Hz and offers a reliable and temperatures ranging between -20ºC and 85ºC.
The ease of installation makes the Model 606M2 best suited for whole body vibration studies in biodynamic research, mobile applications, transportation, heavy equipment testing and flight testing. Each unit is EAR99 export compliant and is provided with an NIST traceable calibration certificate.
