Apprion Releases Wireless ION Emissions Monitoring Application

Apprion, a provider of wireless applications including communications, asset tracking, workforce mobility, video and condition monitoring solutions, has expanded its range of ION Condition Monitoring Applications with the ION Emissions Monitoring Application.

The advanced emissions monitoring solution has been designed to provide highly accurate monitoring of imminent hazard situations and gas emissions in industrial settings. Environmental regulations now require industrial facilities managers to strictly control their gas emissions while meeting the regulations of federal, state and local requirements.

The traditional emissions monitoring solutions available rely on operators to manually transcribe collected data from the sensors and is a complicated process, fraught with errors, and lacks the consistency and high degree of accuracy required to adhere to guidelines and regulations applicable to industries today.

The ION Emissions Monitoring Application developed by Apprion is capable of collecting the data automatically from wireless sensors and offers reporting capability that allows managers to monitor, manage and verify the environmental emissions of the facility. It also features ION Mustering and ION Emergency Notification that ensure that the facility operates at an optimal safety level. The application provides visualizations and update based on the gas sensor data and displays gas concentrations, dosage and building infiltration information that can be viewed by the operators in real-time using the ION system dashboard. The system triggers an alarm if a chemical release is detected, enabling immediate response and timely management of potentially hazardous events.

The Vice President – Marketing at Apprion, Sarah Prinster stated that the ION Emissions Monitoring Application enables managers to stay completely aware of emerging and potential emissions hazards.
