Implant Sciences Receives Additional Order for QS-H150 Portable Explosives Detector

Implant Sciences, a sensor and systems supplier catering to homeland security and defense markets, has announced that the company continues to receive orders for the shipment of the Quantum Sniffer QS-H150 from across the world.

QS-H150

A portable detector for trace amounts of explosives, the additional units will be shipped to India, Taiwan and the United Kingdom, where the QS-H150 will be deployed for bomb squad support and building security. The India order is the first sale by Cosmic Innotech Solutions, a distribution partner for Implant Sciences.

The QS-H150 is a portable, handheld explosives trace detector that utilizes Ion Mobility Spectrometry to quickly detect commercial, homemade and military grade explosives. The radioactive-material free detector is a self-clearing and self-calibrating device that is ideal for high security surveillance in private buildings and public infrastructure.

The QS-B220 is self-calibrating, bench-top narcotics and explosives detector employing Ion Mobility Spectrometry to identify trace amounts of narcotic substances and explosives. The QS-B220 offers high operational availability, minimal total cost of ownership and does not contain any radioactive substance.

The US Department of Homeland Security has acknowledged both the Quantum Sniffer detectors as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technologies as per the guidelines of the SAFETY act of 2002.

Over 1500 units of the explosive trace detector have been sold in over 30 countries. The solutions have been deployed in financial institutions, government buildings, military units, police departments, nuclear power plants, cargo facilities, railways, subways and airports.
