Measurement Specialties Releases EB100 Transducer for Measuring Liquid and Gas Pressure

Measurement Specialties has announced that the EB100 pressure transducer has entered production.

The EB100 pressure transducer

The CE-compliant device is the most compact design proposed by Measurement Specialties and has been designed for motorsports, off-road, test stand, industrial, military and aerospace applications with space-constraints. Ideal for measurement of gas and liquid pressure, the EB100 can be used in difficult media, including mildly corrosive fluids, steam and contaminated water.

The high accuracy device uses the UltraStable technology developed by Measurement Specialties to ensure stability and high performance in wide temperature ranges. Operational in temperature lying between -40°C to +125°C, the EB100 offers a total error band (TEB) of just ±1%. Offering a pressure range of 20 to 350 bar (300 to 5000 psi), the EB100 features an isolated silicon-based strain gage in an oil-filled capsule. The 100% stainless steel media isolation ensures unparalleled durability even in corrosive environments. Minimal hysteresis covers all but the most corrosive and high repeatability is ensured by the MEMS-based technology.

The other miniature pressure transducers developed by Measurement Specialties include the EPB small pressure, flush mount transducer; the EPIH subminiature pressure sensor for high-frequency measurements; the EPL surface-mount pressure sensor ideal for flat surfaces; the EPRB-1 and EPRB-3 ultra miniature pressure transducers ideal for severe environments such as downhole exploration; the EPRB-2 miniature pressure transducer offering amplified output; the EPX miniature threaded pressure sensor; the XPM10 miniature transducer for measuring dynamic and static pressures in very high temperatures; and the XPM series miniature transducers.

Headquartered in Hampton, Virginia, Measurement Specialties manufactures fluid property sensors, mass air flow sensors, pressure sensors, photo optic sensors, temperature sensors, piezoelectric accelerometers, linear variable differential transformers and torque sensors.
