Rand McNally, a provider of maps, and trip planning, navigation and road travel services and products, has announced that the Woodall’s campground directory has been added to its range of TripMaker RVND GPS devices.
Rand McNally TripMaker RVND GPS device
Users of the TripMaker RVND GPS device will be able to access reviewed amenities and campground details provided by Woodall, in addition to over 250,000 RV-specific locations including RV service centers, campgrounds and points of interest.
The campground features of the TripMaker RVND device enable RVers to locate campgrounds and RV parks with electric hook up and dump stations, obtain seasonality and contact information for campgrounds, access public and private campgrounds including State and National Parks, pet-allowed locations, green parks as well as information on fees and rates. RVers can use the TripMaker RVND to locate campgrounds and find the routes by latitude/longitude or by address. The trail feature enables users to record and recall a route to find their way back to a campsite travelling on unmarked roads.
The Chief Executive Officer of Rand McNally stated that the company’s first GPS device introduced for campers and RVers was released more than a year ago, which allowed users to access reviewed campground information no other provider was offering through their GPS device offering.
At the recently held The Rally in Phoenix, RVers were provided a demonstration of the Woodall directory integration in the TripMaker RVND device. The depth of information provided by the RVND device on campgrounds, along with the feature to filter selection by the campground amenities available was particularly well received by RVers.
The Rand McNally TripMaker RVND GPS devices include the 5” widescreen TripMaker RVND 5510 and the 7” HD, TFT widescreen TripMaker RVND 7710 which also provides information on fishing hotspots.
