TGC Industries recently declared that it has obtained a procurement agreement with OYO Geospace. By entering into this agreement, TGC can acquire 13,000 more GSR single-channel wireless data acquisition units and associated equipments. The total cost amounts to $14 M.
The product will be delivered by the end of this May. Upon acquiring the equipment, the North American firm of TGC Industries will possess the massive fleet of single-channel GSR wireless data acquisition units with over 45,000 channels.
Furthermore, the company declared that it will also acquire seven of INOVA’s vibrator vehicles, which will be delivered by this April end. The purchase of the new equipment will be invested in the form of cash and debt combination.
According to TGC Industries' President and Chief Executive Officer, Wayne Whitener, in response to the demand for its services, the company will be purchasing innovative, advanced equipment to continue optimum crew productivity and efficiency. With high operational versatility, the GSR wireless system will be employed in diverse scenarios, while the INOVA vibrator vehicles will function in different types of terrain. By procuring this new equipment, the company can efficiently and instantly address the needs of its clients. By adding the new GSR channels, the total channel count will be increased to 112,000, including GSR and ARAM channels, while the total vibrator vehicle count is 81.
