Uptime Devices has announced the availability of the SMS Sensor Alert, an environmental monitoring device that sends the monitored data using local cellular network.
The SMS Sensor Alert device has been designed to monitor power, security, temperature and environmental factors including water leaks. The device can function in locations where there is no network or landline connection and uses the local Wi-Fi or wired connection for communication. This is ideal for locations where laying a network infrastructure may be costly or for locations that cannot be easily hard-wired. Remote locations that do not have a year-round occupancy may benefit from the use of the SMS Sensor Alert.
The Chief Executive Officer of Uptime Devices, Jean-Paul Daemen stated that the SMS Sensor Alert is ideal for use in telecom closets or vacation homes. The device detects discrepancies and problems and immediately issues an SMS alert to the user. The SMS Sensor Alert device also allows the user to record the data and receive the alarms using the cellular network.
The SMS Sensor Alert features an in-built user interface and can be easily set up by plugging the device into a power source. In the event of a power cut, the unit issues an alert and begins running on its internal battery. The device continuously logs environmental information in a cloud-based system that provides the user a clear report through spread sheets and graphs.
