Telops, a company that supplies high performance infrared cameras and hyperspectral imaging systems, has launched real-time detection software, Reveal D&I, which is specially designed for detecting and identifying gas emissions.
The software enables real time detection of a broad range of gases with an exceptional detection rate. In addition, the software helps to view the gas cloud formed and enables users to follow its evolution over a period of time.
The software can be installed in the Hyper-Cam for several hyperspectral applications including monitoring pollution, detecting leaks, measuring flares, detecting standoffs and identifying toxic industrial chemicals and chemical warfare agents and much more.
Using the software, the calibrated spectrum can be viewed clearly on the real time image, detection thresholds can be adjusted and the gas clouds can also be observed with various colors in a scene.
The user-friendly software extends the Hyper-Cam’s application potential. It provides analytical capability and flexible detection to the user. Infact, the users can directly detect the gases in real time without developing any algorithms for the Hyper-Cam.
The Manager for Hyper-Cam Product Line of Telops, Marc-André Gagnon stated that the software offers direct feedback using its experiments on process and field trials. The thermal hyperspectral imaging becomes more user- friendly while using this specifically designed software
Telops supplies its products to industrial, environmental, defense and security and oil and gas sectors. Furthermore, the company provides opto-electronic engineering services and R&D services for developing optical system technology. In addition, it has developed novel cameras including the FAST-IR 1000, HD-IR 1280 High Definition Scientific Infrared Camera, 1000 FPS Infrared Camera and TEL-1000.
