CAS DataLoggers has released a new AC current recorder from AEMC Instruments. The Simple Logger II, Model L104 can be used for applications involving monitoring of harmonic current, ground and neutral current, monitoring of single/split phase and 3-phase machine load, detection of fault current and other intermittent problems.
The AEMC L104 is a 4-channel recording device that features scale ranges from 5 A to 1200 A. The device is compatible with the SR193-BK, MN193-BK and MN93-BK current probes. It has 600 V CAT IV and 1000 V CAT III safety ratings. TRMS voltage can be recorded up to 1200 A and these recordings can be stored at user-programmable rates. The datalogger performs TRMS calculations on a single line cycle.
For every AC cycle measured, 64 samples are taken and harmonic measurements are calculated. The datalogger has a non-volatile memory that has the capacity to store around 1,000,000 measurements by using four user-selectable storage modes. DataView software enables different types of recording tasks, monitoring of harmonic current, and device setup. The datalogger’s parameters and functions, including channel configuration, recording length and sample rate can be configured. The free software facilitates waveform display in real-time, data storage, download, analysis, creation of graphs and reports.
The AEMC L104 device features wireless Bluetooth data communication that enables real-time viewing of measurements, data transfer, data storage, and configuration of the device . Standard alkaline batteries provide operation for around 180 days.
