BMC Messsysteme, a measurement manufacturer, has introducedAMS42-LAN16f, an Amplifier Measurement System for different types ofanalog and digital measuring applications. It combines 5B amplifiertechnology and data acquisition through a network.
The AMS42-LAN16f is a compact tabletop unit that measures ½ x19''. It is suitable for highly demanding mobile applications. The unithas an integrated LAN data acquisition system. The AMS series ofmeasurement systems are of the modular type having individual equipmentthat increases the adaptability and versatility of the measurementsystem.
AMS devices have 5B measurement amplifiers that allow it to beused for signal conditioning or amplification, sensor supply andgalvanic isolation. These amplifiers can be mounted on plug-incassettes that have different types of connectors, which allow directconnection of various connectors.
The BMC Messsysteme AMS device has the capability to record upto 16 analog signals at a total sampling rate of 250 kHz, with aresolution of 16 bits. The system simultaneously samples both high andlow-speed signals accurately. The AMS42-LAN16f has 16 digital inputsand outputs and a 19-bit counter with quadrature decoder. The LANnetwork allows interfacing with a PC, which allow acquisition ofsignals from multiple points, at large distances, with up to 1000channels.
The AMS device can be used in harsh environments. The companyis providing the system in 19'' formats and other versions.
BMC Messsysteme will be showcasing the amplifier measurementsystem at the Sensor + Test 2012 Measurement Fair to be held inNuremberg from May 22 to 24.
