Industrial Scientific, a provider of Gas Detection Service recently declared that the Ventis MX4 multi-gas detector has been licensed to meet the ATEX standards of EN 50303, EN 60079-0, and EN 60079-11 for M1 mining equipment and intrinsic safety in Zone 0 applications such as ATEX Markings including Ex ia IIC T4 Ga and Ex ia I Ma. Ex ia IIC T4 Ga is associated with equipment group and category II 1G and I M1 and IECEx Markings.
The Ventis is a compact, highly configurable instrument that can detect one to four gases such as oxygen, combustible gases like LEL or CH4 as well as any two of the toxic gases such as SO2 ,CO, H2S, and NO2. It is well suited for both confined space monitoring as well as continuous personal monitoring. Designed to be able to survive in potentially hazardous environments, this instrument ensures safe and secured operation for various industrial applications. The Ventis can enable drawing samples from up to 100 ft using integral pump for confined space applications.
The Ventis is fully compatible with Gas Detection from iNet- Industrial Scientific as a service solution. Currently, iNet ensures safety to the workers for over 3,000 worksites extending throughout 19 countries by allowing visibility into gas detector alarms, usage and exposure.
