The critical design review (CDR) related to the Autonomous Navigation System (ANS) program of General Dynamics Robotic Systems has been completed successfully.
This ANS, an integrated and on-board technology and sensors suite, facilitates autonomous perception, navigation, path-planning and vehicle tracking functionalities for unmanned ground-based vehicles. The ANS was also designated for integrating into the Armed Robotic Vehicle-Assault (Light) [ARV-A(L)] by the U.S. Army. It can control several other versions of unmanned and manned vehicles.
General Dynamics Robotic Systems forms a sub division of the Sterling Heights, Mich based General Dynamics Land Systems, a business element of General Dynamics (GD). Its team can now focus on continual maturing, fabrication, and testing the design of the ANS since it has completed the CDR successfully. The leading partner for the ANS program is General Dynamics Robotic Systems.
