ESCORT’s SmartRadar Bluetooth Enabled Radar/Laser Detector Presented at Los Angeles Press Event

ESCORT, a manufacturer of automotive accessories presented its new product ESCORT SmartRadar Bluetooth Enabled Supercharged Radar/Laser Detector at E3 Showstoppers press event held at Los Angeles on June 5, 2012. The company initially introduced its product at the CTIA Mobile Wireless show in New Orleans.

The SmartRadar detector comprises built-in Bluetooth wireless technology for facilitating connection with mobile phones and other Bluetooth devices. The detector can be easily connected with ESCORT Live, a ticket protection network to create road awareness.

Ron Gividen, ESCORT PR/Media Director stated that the new product assists the drivers by providing shared alerts in real-time, and driving and awareness notifications through their smart phones that is connected with ESCORT Live ticket protection app.

The ESCORT Live app is provided in map and dashboard view and includes various setting options with respect to the requirements of a user. Bluetooth technology in ESCORT Live is embedded with SmartCord Live cords, so that the alerts are detected, transmitted to ESCORT Live “cloud” and broadcast across the ESCORT Live network to notify the driver. The app further provides speed limit information, over-speed limit alerts, live traffic updates for route optimization, and is featured with Defender database of red light camera and speed-ticketing camera locations and speed traps.

ESCORT’s SmartRadar detector has the benefits of small and compact design, quick and convenient mounting efficiency on the driver’s windshield, X, K, and SuperWide Ka radar performance and laser detection and digital signal processing capabilities for false alarms.
