Flexpoint Develops Flow Sensor for Color Paint Dispenser

Flexpoint Sensor Systems has developed a flow sensor to be used for a color paint dispenser. The flow sensor gives way for a wide range of application in industrial fields and it is built in a manner to withstand tough manufacturing conditions. Flexpoint Sensor Systems is also expecting an annual contract for the application of the flow sensor.

Dave Beck, head manager of Flexpoint, has carried out custom work on a flow monitor for a color application product used in an international company. During the custom work, Beck faced a number of challenges because of the mechanical configuration and small size of the application product including its exposure to increased temperatures. These challenges were successfully overcome by Beck, and the product was sent for a client approval in the final stage. Flexpoint expects to get the approval of this product during the third quarter of 2012.

Clark Mower, President of Flexpoint, stated that the company expects to get a continuous yearly contract for about 20,000 Bend Sensors. The contract the other hand will enable the company to promote these sensors as an inexpensive and versatile solution for the company’s future clients in mechanical and industrial applications. Mower stated that the flow sensor will enable the company to enter into high revenue potential markets. Mower further highlighted that the company aims at achieving the approval of long-term contracts and commence with the production process for different companies.

Mower stated that Flexpoint is expecting to get an important contract from a Fortune 500 American truck manufacturer with whom Mower and Beck will have a pivotal meeting in the later part of this month. Besides this pivotal meeting, other meetings with a Fortune 500 automaker will take place at the end of this month in Detroit.
