GlacialLight has introduced a new eco-friendly infrared motion sensing automatic light switch. The GL-PIR10C device helps save power and can convert ordinary lights into security devices.
GlacialLight GL-PIR10C infrared motion sensing switch
The motion sensor can be connected to different types of light sources. They can help reduce power consumption, increase security and simplify usage. The GL-PIR10C can be used both indoors and outdoors. The sensitivity settings for motion and light can be adjusted. The passive infrared (PIR) sensors can detect the entry of people into a particular area and switch on the lights. It switches off when the people leave. The time duration for the light to remain on can be set from 10 s to around 7 min. The light switches on immediately upon detection of motion and thus improves security.
At temperatures of less than 24°C, the sensor can be adjusted to detect at a distance ranging from 5-12 m. For distances up to 5 m, it can function in low sensitivity mode and for detecting up to 12 m, it has to function in high sensitivity mode. It has a detection range of 180° and can function within temperatures ranging between -20°C and +40°C.
The GL-PIR10C has the capability to detect both during the day and night, under ambient light levels ranging from 3 lux to 2000 lux.
The device has the capacity to handle a rated load of 300 W for energy-saving lamps and 1200 W for incandescent lamps. During operation, it consumes 0.45 W and under idle mode it consumes 0.1 W.
GlacialLight is a division of GlacialTech, a provider of power supply, cooling and LED lighting solutions.
