Hangzhou Hua’an Medical & Health Instruments, the leading electronic medical thermometers maker in the world, has developed the Microlife thermometer brands for the global OEM markets.
The company’s important products include the infrared (IR) ear thermometer, the digital thermometer, and the digital sphygmomanometer. Importance of these products is highlighted in the recent events in the global health environment. The new influenza epidemic last year and the SARS in 2003 had triggered a market requirement for additional improved personal temperature sensing devices for measurement of higher body temperatures experienced by patients suffering from influenza and SARS.
Jin-Yuarn Lin, Chairman of Microlife, informed that besides the electronic thermometers the company’s shipments of electronic blood pressure monitors are also considered among the top five enterprise product category range of the world. Its shipments of electronic blankets have also increased and are likely to be among the top five global products list
The Microlife electronic thermometer brand shipments exceeded 20 million and almost peaked to claim 5% of the world market share, resulting in Microlife’s leadership in this product category.
The ear thermometer, the electronic thermometer, and the forehead thermometer products are likely to result in increased shipments of body temperature measuring systems and will help tackle the avian influenza’s continual spread.
Microlife Electronic thermometer orders from America and Europe from August 2009 has resulted in scheduling the full production from January 2010.
Lin had informed in 1995 that the relevant Microlife product range will be mass exported after it gets the European CE certification. He added that the company would take the OEM hand model brand to increase its profitability. It would continue for an improvement in patent protection and technology within ten years and the shipments of the electronic thermometers will be the first world wide.
Lin emphasized that its strategy right from the beginning is to stay ahead of the market in the family health products category. He hopes that the long range health care methodology is possible without the Borders program due to the Internet’s growth. The home medical equipment of Microlife also focuses on integrated network services that will be the next stage of business profitability development.
