Schrader, a manufacturer of valve and sensing solutions, has declared that it has produced its 200 millionth direct tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) sensor. This sensor produced in Antrim, Schrader’s Northern Ireland facility marks a milestone in the history of Schrader and signifies the company’s focus on offering high quality, novel valve and sensing technologies.
The CEO and President of Schrader, Hugh Charvat stated that the company is proud of this significant achievement and is sure that the future holds much more as the company continues to provide superior quality service to its global aftermarket and OEM customers. He expressed his gratitude to the company’s customers worldwide and said that this breakthrough is a launching point as TPMS is adopted in markets for its fuel-efficiency, safety and environmental benefits to drivers globally.
North America alone houses approximately 306 million sensors with more than half of them produced by Schrader.
