Implant Sciences, a high-tech provider of systems and sensors for defense and homeland security markets, has added a new distributor in Switzerland.
The company has been carrying out commercialization and global expansion of its new QS-B220 system. The recently added distributor is the company's first distributor in Switzerland. The new Switzerland-based distributor has procured Implant Science’s Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 system for deployment as a demonstration unit.
The QS-B220 is a desktop explosives and drugs trace detector system. This novel system is being assessed for its eligibility in receiving certification by the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) in air cargo screening. This 2011-launched Quantum Sniffer QS-B220 system has achieved effective deployment application in the regions of the Middle East, the Europe, the Americas, and Asia.
According to Implant Sciences' VP of Global Sales and Marketing, Dr. Darryl Jones, with large color touch-screen, easy accessibility, convenience, rapid and clear detection capabilities, the new QS-B220 has gained increased demand from the global security experts. Also, the growing awareness about radiation safety has enabled Implant Sciences' non-radioactive design to get into fewer regulations and restrictions compared to competing systems. The QS-B220 has a promising potential. Further certification achievement from global government regulatory agencies will promote this novel detecting system.
