A manufacturer of high-performance displacement sensors, Lion Precision has expanded to Japan and inaugurated an office in Yokohama. The Japan Technical Centre of Lion Precision offers local support on the service and application of the company’s portfolio of products.
Japanese distributors and end users can obtain direct technical support for the complete sensor range of the company. These displacement sensors can identify position changes of below 1 nm.
According to Don Martin, President of Lion Precision, it is beneficial for the company to have local support in the same time zone as well as Japanese-speaking personnel for both users and distributors.
He added that the company is based on working with customers to offer the ideal sensing solution for their application. It is now possible to answer technical questions quickly and without losing any essential details while translating.
The Japan Technical Center manager Mr Koji Masuda is highly experienced in the use of high-performance, non-contact displacement sensors for a broad range of applications. A grand opening of the office was celebrated on July 18. The Japan Technical Centre is continuing to expand in Asia and this centre will act as a technical support base for the whole region.
Around 5% annual sales has been recorded by the company to Japan. It is anticipated that sales will steadily increase with the support of the Japan Technical centre.
