Flexpoint Sensor Systems has reported that the company together with industry partners is involved in the development of comprehensive, turnkey solutions for seat occupancy systems, which find use in everything ranging from theaters to buses.
Flexpoint Sensor Systems has agreed to become directly involved in the development and productization of these systems because numerous entities have shown more interest in them. Previously, the company has worked only as a sensor technology supplier in the development of similar systems. With Troy Buys as its new sales manager, Flexpoint is now planning to lead both development and commercialization of its own systems. These efforts will in turn complement the efforts of the company’s partners.
David Beck, Lead Engineer at Flexpoint Sensor Systems, expects that it must be comparatively easier to develop the systems because of the completion of most of the key development work for other projects. Identifying the ideal partner for completion of the work is now important. The occupancy detection work is part of Flexpoint Sensor Systems’ strategy towards sales and marketing.
Flexpoint Sensor Systems’ Chief Executive Officer, Clark Mower stated that the company has witnessed a growing demand for occupancy systems; however, it has not been able to provide complete, turnkey solutions earlier. As part of the company’s revived sales effort, it is taking a direct role in these projects in order to fulfill this demand. The company believes that its skill and expertise enable it to offer reliable and precise solutions for occupancy detection requirements. The company has discussed with partners who have shown interest in taking part in this work.
