Mantracourt has expanded its proven T24 wireless instrumentation range with the introduction of T24-GW1 Modbus Gateway, which offers users, a simple interface to collect data from as high as 100 acquisition modules within a T24 network, utilizing either a simple ASCII protocol or the standard Modbus interface RTU protocol.
Fields such as confectionary production are already using the T24-GW1, which is also ideal for applications such as automotive, pharmaceuticals, chemical production and industrial processing. The Mantracourt T24 wireless telemetry line is a versatile, low power radio system engineered to allow high-precision measurement data transmission from accelerometers, inclinometers, load cells, and pressure, displacement and temperature sensors. Instrumentation readings can now be remotely monitored by engineers thanks to transmitter and receiver technologies.
Mantracourt’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Kelly Voysey stated that T24-GW1 Modbus Gateway is an important addition to the company’s T24 wireless instrumentation range. Besides enabling an interface with prevailing and new process control systems, the GW1 allows engineers to get the numerous advantages of wireless instrumentation. The GW1 is already a successful product in the field.
Mantracourt’s Technical Sales Engineer, Jonathan Purdue stated that the GW1 is essentially a data translator. The GW1 gathers data from T24 modules and shows the raw number in predefined sites in its registry. Hence, it is possible to demonstrate which location is associated with which module by programming an industrial PC or a Modbus PLC. This information can be received by the PLC either through request or through transmission by the GW1 utilizing ASCII protocol.
