ThermoWorks recently introduced a novel handheld thermometer ‘Saf-T-Log’. Using this new thermometer, temperature can be measured and its reports can be downloaded, stored and printed, promoting HACCP and food safety compliance. It provides cost-efficiency and reliability as that of traditional handheld thermocouple meter.
Users can employ the simple Windows desktop software for creating lists of equipment or food items and set pass/fail temperature ranges. Using USB port, the Saf-T-Log can be linked to a PC for automatic upload of selected user checklists. Based on each shift or service, different lists can be used or the same list can be used till the last menu or operation changes.
Based on simple up/down controls in Saf-T-Log, users can have a quick scroll through the items. Recording of temperatures can be performed with the touch of a button, without having to use traditional pen and paper logs. Recorded temperatures display the date, time and operator's name instantly. User-set high/low limits indicate instant pass/fail status for every item.
When connected to a PC, the Saf-T-Log is capable of performing automatic download and archive of stored temperature information, followed by producing a report. Temperature data is protected against tampering. Using interchangeable type K thermocouple probes, the Saf-T-Log can effectively measure temperatures from -148°F to 2500°F based on the probe being selected. It ensures precision up to ±0.7°F.
The Saf-T-Log from ThermoWorks features rugged, water-resistant housing (IP66/67) and includes backlit display for safe and reliable operation in any commercial kitchen setting.
