MultiSensing technology company, Neonode has declared that the Company’s patented MultiSensing touch technology has been adopted in the newly-launched latest Sony Reader PRS-T2.
The 6-in Sony Reader builds-in Neonode’s MultiSensing technology and delivers ultra-low power utilization enabling two months long reading on a single charge; glare-free and high resolution touch screen provides simple reading in all lighting conditions even in direct sunlight. Gestures input for consistent page turns and multi-touch for smooth zooming in and out for user- friendly navigation. It features any object touch support like ordinary pen, stylus, or finger/gloved finger.
According to Neonode CEO Thomas Eriksson, the quality of Neonode’s solution has been reflected by its MultiSensing technology for three generations of its e-readers and therefore remains the solution of choice for technical pioneers like Sony.
With improved cost-efficiency, Neonode’s MultiSensing technology has been in-built within an extensive range of high volume color LCD products such as office equipment, mobile phones, gaming devices, tablets, in-car infotainment displays, and toys. Most of these products will arrive on the market in another 6-9 months. Such novel products will integrate Neonode’s customized NN1001 Sensor Chip that was created along with Texas Instruments. Neonode’s MultiSensing technology operates on over 10 M touch consumer devices so far, within the global marketplace.
