UK-based Sarantel has unveiled its new SL1350, a dual band (GPS/2.4GHz) antenna based on its SL1300 LBS Pro antenna, and the SL1250 antenna (based on SL1200 antenna series). Both antennas employ a redesigned connectorisation system that improves performance and mechanical properties, thereby providing a GPS antenna solution that is both affordable and simple to integrate.
Sarantel's GeoHelix antennas provide improved positional precision and reliability needed for a range of location sensitive applications. Several location-based advertising, mobile social networking, and other location based service applications strongly rely on reliability and precision, which are vital even for a range of safety critical applications that are based on GPS antenna performance.
Sarantel's SL1201 and SL1202 series have been substituted with these new products. Sarantel will operate with its customers to achieve smooth transition to the latest SL1250 series antennas.
According to the CEO of Sarantel, David Wither, the newly released antennas represent major evolution in GeoHelix technology comprising its first multi-band antenna. The company strives to enhance the GPS performance of the antenna while establishing a unique 2.4GHz performance. In addition to these advancements, the company focuses on enhancing the antenna's mechanical properties, making it simple, affordable, easy and efficient for adoption and integration.
The Sarantel LBS Pro antennas are now available. Sarantel's global distribution partners are ready to deliver the samples.
