Baanto, Egan to Develop Interactive Whiteboard Products Based on ShadowSense Touch Technology

Baanto International and Egan TeamBoard have entered into a formal agreement for developing a complete series of Baanto ShadowSense touch technology-based interactive whiteboard products.

The series will be unveiled featuring three models, wherein the aspect ratios meet market requirements. The entire series of designs are regulated to result in efficient and powerful touch tracking, gesture recognition, and multi-touch performance, creating a variety of choices for a high performance interactive whiteboard solution. Integration with the current TeamBoard Suite of software and productivity tools will result in a high-efficiency multi-touch, interactive whiteboard solution, thus enabling effective adoption by users.

Designs featured with 6 to 8 ms of touch response time and full multi-touch tracking and reporting leads to unique touch performance. ShadowSense technology boasts strong ambient light rejection, facilitating the adoption of TeamBoard whiteboards in brighter environments despite sunlight interference from windows or skylights.

According to Baanto CEO, Joe Kotas, the company’s existing traditional touchscreen products are capable of demonstrating the scalability, affordability and efficiency of ShadowSense touch technology. Having properties that resemble other multi-touch applications, interactive whiteboard usage models create different challenges that can be met only with ShadowSense touch. In addition to expanding Baanto’s technology, collaboration with Egan TeamBoard technology also enables the company to co-operate with a well-established company like Egan that utilizes the unique features of ShadowSense, thus contributing to unparalleled user experience.
