The Exergen TemporalScanner, used in thousands of healthcare facilities and millions of homes, has made its latest prime time television appearance. On a recent episode of FOX's newest medical drama, The Mob Doctor, the Exergen TemporalScanner was used by Dr. Grace Devlin played by Jordana Spiro.
The TemporalScanner was used to take the temperature of a young girl brought into the emergency room following a car accident.
"Seeing the TemporalScanner used on medical TV programs affirms that Exergen temporal artery thermometry is the standard in quality medical care. The TemporalScanner is becoming just as common as a stethoscope in medical settings," said Dr. Francesco Pompei, Exergen CEO. "Exergen's gentle forehead scan has proven to be a significant factor in cultivating positive doctor-patient relationships, and being seen in prime time brings this to life."
Exergen was featured in the third episode of The Mob Doctor's first season titled "Protect and Serve." Based on the story of an emergency room doctor who finds herself indebted to the mafia, The Mob Doctor, starring Jordana Spiro and Zach Gilford is one of the newest additions to FOX's fall lineup.
The Mob Doctor is not the first medical drama to feature the TemporalScanner. Exergen has previously been seen on episodes of Grey's Anatomy, Royal Pains and was featured in the Broadway show, The Lyons.
