The recently launched sleek 157 g HTC HD2 mobile phone incorporates TFT touch-sensitive screen, ambient light sensor, accelerometer sensor, proximity sensor, 5 mega pixel camera, Windows Media player, video player, and music player.
The phone’s TFT type capacitive touch screen has a large 4.3 inches size and has pixel resolution of 480x800 and shows 65k colors. The Auto Focus, Picture Geo Tagging, and Dual LED flash features along with various impressive settings boost up the performance of the phone’s camera. The phone also has excellent video capturing capabilities.
Auto-rotate feature of the phone is enabled through the accelerometer sensor, while the proximity sensor enables auto turn of. Besides these features the phone is loaded with pick-to-mute call, multi-touch input method and Sense UI.
The phone’s video player supports ASF, WMV, 3G2, AVI, MPEG4 and ASF video file formats to ensure faultless video playback. It has Windows Media Player to enable varied media playback. The music player enables users to play MP4, MP3, M4A, QCP, WAV, AAC, WMA, AMR and MID music files.
The mobile phone also provides HSUPA, Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, GPRS, EDGE, WLAN WiFi, and 3G HSDPA technologies for impeccable data sharing and connectivity. General web browsers such as HTML, WAP 2.0 and X-HTML are loaded in the phone for Internet browsing. An Opera Mobile browser is also provided in the phone.
The mobile phone is compatible with Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. It also integrates the HTC Footprint and Special HTC Peep applications
This HTC HD2 phone, a new launch in the HTC portfolio, is a follow-up of the HTC Touch HD. Most of its features are akin to those of the earlier model, but there are some differences also.
