Canon USA to Display Suite of Digital Radiography Detectors at RSNA 2012

With a focus on patient solutions, Canon U.S.A., a leader in digital imaging solutions, will feature a full line-up of digital radiography (DR) devices at the 2012 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Annual Meeting on November 25-30 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Canon will highlight its cost-effective devices that offer flexibility, mobility, high-quality imaging and robust workflow solutions for high volume centers.

“Now, more than ever, it is vital for practitioners to maintain a patient-focused practice by providing quality care and maintaining efficient office workflows,” said Tsuneo Imai, senior director and general manager, Healthcare Solutions Division, Business Imaging Solutions Group, Canon U.S.A. “At RSNA 2012, Canon will demonstrate a variety of solutions designed to help practitioners offer outstanding services with solutions that can be customized to their individual needs. Whether it is a complete new system or integrating Canon’s high-quality DR technology into existing solutions, clients can upgrade their practices despite the dramatic changes facing the healthcare industry.”

In Lakeside Hall, booth #1617, Canon U.S.A. will showcase a wide array of solutions that can help practitioners deliver quality patient care through devices that offer convenience, mobility, and imaging quality, and can help practitioners establish efficient workflows:

Convenient Designs Offer Flexibility

Offering a highly versatile dual purpose imaging solution, the RadPRO1 D2-50RF Dynamic Digital RF Imaging System provides exceptional image quality for fluoroscopy and dynamic examinations. Depending on the image capture mode and size, the CXDI-50RF Dynamic/ Static Flat Panel Detector has the ability to take up to 30 frames per second (fps) for fluoroscopy imaging, while offering static multi-frame radiographic imaging at up to 15 fps.

Portable Solutions for Streamlined Examinations

For a streamlined approach to digital radiography, the RadPRO 40kW Digital Mobile System can be outfitted with a variety of Canon DR devices, including the CXDI-70C Wireless DR System. Weighing 7.5 pounds, the durable Canon CXDI-70C Wireless DR system is easy to handle and produces high-resolution images as a result of a pixel pitch of just 125 microns. In addition, the DR system incorporates a Cesium Iodide (CsI) scintillator, helping to reduce patient X-ray exposure. With the use of a custom tray (which is sold separately), the CXDI-80C Wireless DR System is compatible with most Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) beds, incubators and warmers without any modifications.

Superb Imaging Quality for Enhanced Patient Care

With high-quality image sensors, Canon Digital Radiography detectors provide excellent diagnostic images as a result of a pixel pitch of 125 microns, and the detectors with CsI scintillators result in minimal patient X-ray exposure. Ideal for various diagnostic imaging areas and radiology rooms, these Digital Radiography systems are exceptionally versatile, portable and easy to install.

Exceptional Devices for Efficient Management of High-Volume Centers

The RadPRO ELITE Overhead/Ceiling Mounted Radiography System offers three robust radiographic configurations that allow for easy, efficient exams needed by today's high-volume imaging departments. Equipped with a high-frequency generator, four-way float table, chest unit and overhead X-ray support, this system offers precise positioning with speed and effortless movements. This system can also be outfitted with a variety of Canon Wireless DR Systems, including the CXDI-70C Wireless, CXDI-501C and CXDI-401C DR systems.

In addition to these devices, Canon will also feature a variety of the Company’s flat-panel digital radiography detectors, including:

  • Canon CXDI-80C Wireless Digital Radiography Detector
  • Canon CXDI-70C Wireless Digital Radiography Detector
  • Canon CXDI-55C and CXDI-55G Digital Radiography Detectors
  • Canon CXDI-50RF Dynamic/Static Digital Radiography Detector
  • Canon CXDI-501C and CXDI-501G Digital Radiography Detectors
  • Canon CXDI-401C, CXDI-401G, CXDI-401C COMPACT and CXDI-401G COMPACT Digital Radiography Detectors
