Temperature@lert, an innovator in environmental monitoring, has introduced smart sensor adapter boards for 4-20mA and 0-2VDC. The new adapter boards for 4-20mA and 0-2VDC integrate with Astec Heracell incubators for carbon dioxide and oxygen monitoring. Temperature@lert has previously released an adapter board for dry contact that uses similar technology, which can also be found in their industrial smart sensors line.
The Astec Heracell incubator integration with the Temperature@lert system is currently used in vitro fertilization labs. Aside from the incubation application, the adapter board can also monitor and alert for breached carbon dioxide and oxygen levels in the culturing of microorganism environments, the hatching of eggs, cellular biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and the poultry industry.
Temperature@lert’s Cellular Edition has the capacity to interface with smart sensors that use standard signals like 4-20mA and 0-2VDC. This capability provides the integration with Astec Heracell incubators. Users are alerted of potential disasters caused by breached carbon dioxide or oxygen levels in the incubator. The 4-20mA and 0-2VDC adapter boards come pre-programmed to match the smart sensors for carbon dioxide and oxygen monitoring in Astec Heracell incubators.
“Pre-programming the 4-20mA and 0-2VDC adapter boards allow the Temperature@lert device to know which type of smart sensor is connected and associate the correct unit of measurement with the reading. There are a number of sensors that have already been integrated with our device,“ states Harry Schechter, President and CEO of Temperature@lert. “The integrations are numerous with these smart sensor adapter boards and Temperature@lert enjoys the challenge of creating new integrations through advancements in smart sensor technology”.
