LumaSense Launches Cost-Effective Digital Infrared Ratio Pyrometer

LumaSense Technologies introduced its new ISR 320, a cost-effective digital infrared pyrometer for use in industrial markets such as metal processing, container glass fabrication and solar panel production. The ISR 320 is a very small 2-color pyrometer capable of non-contact measurement of temperatures from 700°C to 1700°C.

The speed at which the ISR 320 delivers temperature measurements is very fast (10 milliseconds), thus allowing users a competitive advantage in their processes. The ISR 320 provides reliable temperature data and offers fixed optics for 300 mm or 800 mm measuring distances. It is also designed for harsh environments with a rugged, stainless steel housing and unmatched performance under extreme conditions.

"The ISR 320 is designed to make 2-color pyrometry accessible to customers in emerging markets like China, India and Brazil," said LumaSense CTO Brett Sargent. "It has an ideal range for mid- to high-temperature applications in a broad variety of intense processes, including critical temperature measurement in the manufacturing of industrial materials such as steel, glass and cement. It is designed to provide superior performance at a great price thus allowing a return on investment in just days from installation."

The ISR 320 pyrometer extends LumaSense's vision to equip international customers in Global Energy, Industrial Materials and Advanced Technologies with an industrial 6th sense to detect, reduce and ultimately prevent an estimated $1 trillion lost every year due to process inefficiencies and unwarranted waste.

The ISR 320 pyrometer can be integrated into overall customized solutions with other sensors such as thermal imaging cameras, using LumaSense's groundbreaking Sensorgraphics™ process intelligence software to accurately detect, reduce and prevent out-of-band temperature fluctuations. Operators and users can be empowered with a nearly intuitive 6th sense to identify potential issues before they impact process efficiency, reduce quality or impact yields.

Priced at under $2,500 USD, the ISR 320 pyrometer is available immediately through LumaSense and its trusted resellers around the world.
