AltaSens Introduces Latest Generation 1/3" CMOS Sensor

AltaSens, Inc., a leader in CMOS image sensor development, introduced two new products: the AL30210C image sensor, its latest generation 1/3" CMOS sensor, and the ALWPU, a companion Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) processing unit.

The WDR ASIC solution was recently on display throughout the four-day China Public Security Expo (CPSE) and attracted a variety of customers interested in the exciting new capabilities offered by AltaSens. In addition, AltaSens will demonstrate WDR applications at ISC West 2013 in Las Vegas on April 10-12 at booth 3037.

AltaSens plans to market the WDR ASIC solution throughout the security, video conference, and medical industries as a high-performance WDR HD sensor with multiple programmable image capture speeds up to 60 fps.

The AL30210 and ALWPU are fully qualified to JESD-47, Qualification of Integrated Circuits and elements of JESD22, JESD85, and JESD78 as applicable. The sensor and ASIC meet all RoHS and REACH environmental requirements and are in mass production. Four versions of the sensor are available:

  • AL30210C-1, 60 degrees C Standard Product
  • AL30210C-2, 85 degrees C High Temperature Sensor – Proven Performance for Demanding Environments
  • AL30210M-1, Monochrome, 60 degrees C Standard Product
  • AL30210M-2, Monochrome, 85 degrees C High Temperature Sensor – Proven Performance for Demanding Environments
