Cisco Live 2013: Paessler to Demonstrate New Version of PRTG Network Monitor

Paessler AG, the innovative network monitoring solutions specialist, today announced it is exhibiting at Cisco Live 2013, June 23-27 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Paessler will be demonstrating the new version of PRTG Network Monitor, its flagship networking monitoring product, featuring PRTG's new HTML5-based Single Page Application (SPA) interface and heuristic calculation technology.

Recently released to the market, the new version of PRTG Network Monitor introduces several advanced features that help network administrators quickly view and digest a higher volume of crucial information. The new SPA interface, made possible through the use of HTML5, presents data on a single page in order to give users a speedy experience and help them identify and address changing situations. Data presentation is not only cleaner and easier to understand, but also provides more overall functionality with fewer clicks needed.

Also included is a new heuristic calculation which identifies sensors that show similar behaviour, helping the administrator to find interconnections in the network. This knowledge can lead to better network resource planning as well as the ability to detect unexpected influences and interactions between systems-including those that could result in security leaks.

"Our new updates to PRTG Network Monitor will be of real interest to administrators who are managing an increasing volume of network assets," said Dirk Paessler, founder and CEO of Paessler AG. "In the networking world, speed and efficiency are paramount. These new features extend the power and ability of managers to quickly see, and address, threats to performance."

PRTG's HTML5-powered interface is enhanced by pop-up layers that support execution of operational tasks. By using pop-ups within the browser instead of loading new pages, administrators can easily focus on the task at hand without losing the context of what they're doing. The priority and favorite status of objects can be changed with just one click to move important objects in the user's focus.

At Cisco Live 2013, Paessler is presenting the PRTG updates to more than 17,000 IT and communications professionals from the U.S. and around the world who wish to learn about new technologies from Cisco and trusted Cisco partners.
