NetComm Wireless Limited, a leading developer of wireless Machine-to-Machine (M2M) products, won the ACOMMS Award for innovation in the SME category for the second consecutive year at the 7th Annual Communications Alliance and Communications Day (ACOMMS) Dinner last night in Sydney.
The prestigious award was presented to NetComm Wireless for its Outdoor 3G/4G Router Series (NTC-30 Series) which consists of the Outdoor 3G/4G M2M WiFi Router with Voice (NTC-30WV) and Marine Outdoor WiFi Router (NTC-30WV-02) – the first, and only, 3G/4G broadband technology to optimise Internet, phone and WiFi connectivity by attaching to the outside of a premise or offshore vessel.
"We are thrilled to have won the ACCOMS Award for innovation again this year. This accolade acknowledges our ability to innovate and adapt in an extraordinarily fast changing environment and we are pleased to have received recognition for the NTC-30 Series which is a world-first technology designed to help expand the wireless footprint and optimise 3G/4G communications across the globe," said David Stewart, CEO and Managing Director, NetComm Wireless.
The innovative NTC-30 Series is transforming the online experience for households, businesses and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) applications that lack access to fixed line (ADSL/cable/fibre) services. Designed to overcome issues relating to wireless black spots, interference and signal degradation, NTC-30 Series devices boost 3G/4G signal strength by combining: a high-performance 3G/4G modem, powerful external WiFi & 3G/4G antennas, a router and telephone adapter in a single weatherproof device.
NTC-30 Series devices enable fast, reliable and secure Internet and phone communications for M2M applications; outdoor deployments; disaster and emergency communications; marine applications and personal and business connectivity.
The ACOMM Awards, jointly presented by Communications Alliance and Communications Day recognises excellence among communications industry participants, awarding exemplary achievement across ten categories of endeavour. Finalists for the Innovation – SME category include: Ruckus Wireless and Appscorp PTY LTD T/A ECCconnect.
The ACOMMS award comes after winning three categories of the Australian Business Awards this year: Australian Business Award for Innovation; Product Innovation (NTC-30 Series) and Best Industrial Product (NTC-40WV - M2M WiFi Router with Voice).
