PURE, a leading consumer electronics firm in the UK, has chosen the maXTouch solution of Atmel Corporation, a touch and microcontroller solutions vendor, for the Sensia Internet radio.
Sensia is a novel Internet-enabled digital audio system that uses a big color touchscreen and the Flow technology. The touchscreen provides offers users a distinctive way to enjoy podcasts and content on the Internet radio, media streaming, FM and digital radio stations, and many other services.
Sensia features a 5.7-inch touchscreen that permits users to control a number of applications like social networking and Internet radio. The user will be able to interact and view the Internet radio by spinning and scrolling lists, tapping to choose playlists, swiping and sliding controls to change the touchscreen’s content views.
PURE’s director of Hardware Development, Martin Harrison informed that the complementary product portfolio and touch technology from Atmel has enabled PURE to propel the digital radio revolution. Harrison added that Atmel has provided PURE with novel solutions in a supportive, precise and timely manner, which has helped its engineers to offer a technologically enhanced product experience for its customers. He explained that the Dataflash, maXTouch, and QTouch technology solutions have helped his company to deliver novel Internet radios faster to the market, and enabled the company’s engineering teams to deliver distinctive and new products that differentiate the company against the competitors.
