The most important event for the telecommunications sector in Europe, the Broadband World Forum (BBWF), takes place this year in Amsterdam from 22 -24 October. With its ARGUS testers, intec scores again with customised quality measuring equipment "Made in Germany".
In addition to the even more powerful VSDL interfaces, among the many highlights featured this year is a cable multimeter (DMM/DVOM) expansion - the ARGUS Copper Box - for galvanic line measurement on local loops. With its 25 years of development experience in telecommunications, intec is one of Europe's leading suppliers of customer-specific xDSL measurement technology. It develops multi-functional test equipment that is some of the most powerful, flexible and reliable testers on the international telecommunications markets. This is particularly true of the ARGUS 165, the most compact tester in its class.
The ADSL and VDSL tester ARGUS 165 has Gigabit Ethernet interfaces (Cu + SFP) and on request supports copper (Cu) and Triple Play test functions as well as ISDN (BRI S/T/U, PRI/E1) and POTS. It can be upgraded to a powerful SHDSL tester (Enhanced SHDSL up to 8 wires) as required. It is suitable for commissioning of the new VDSL Vectoring, VDSL Bonding and FTTH (Fibre) technology and even offers Ethernet performance measurements according to RFC2544.
The ARGUS Copper Box now also enables an automatic measuring of voltages (AC/DC), current, capacitance, loop and isolation resistance on the subscriber line, in addition to this it determines the line symmetry and the near end crosstalk (NEXT). Now these measurements can even be carried out parallel to DSL synchronisation - ARGUS therefore offers the field service engineer a time-saving solution for qualifying the DSL copper pair.
The experts from intec will be on hand at the exhibition stand (Hall 11, Stand A10) where they will be pleased to answer your questions and demonstrate you the newest ARGUS testers.
