This 2 megapixel camera will be integrated into the Apache helicopter. The camera incorporates ultra-low light detection sensor developed by Intevac.

According to Joe Pietras, Intevac Photonics’ General Manager and Executive Vice President, this move provides a high-volume prospect for Intevac Photonics’ digital night vision camera and matches Intevac’s strategy to emerge as a leading vendor of low-level, digital imaging products for crucial applications in the U.S. military.

Pietras further explained that the Army subcontract relating to the evaluation of Intevac’s sensor and digital night vision camera is an important business achievement.
