MicroStrategy Incorporated, a leading worldwide provider of enterprise software platforms, today announced that its Australian operations has signed a local technology agreement with secure Australian cloud provider, CloudCentral.
The combination of MicroStrategy’s Analytics Platform, which provides a range of enterprise reporting, predictive analytics and management dashboards, with the performance, dependability and strength of CloudCentral’s Cloud Services, now makes analytics available to companies of all sizes, anywhere, anytime.
“It just made sense for us to create a technology partnership with CloudCentral,” said MicroStrategy Vice President for Australia & New Zealand Mark Fazackerley. “CloudCentral offers fast, reliable, secure and flexible cloud computing services to its partners and their end customers. Large and small businesses can be up and running in no time at all because there is no significant upfront capital expenditure or ongoing hardware maintenance as there is with storing the data in-house.”
“MicroStrategy’s analytics solutions will allow Australian organisations and government departments to dive into their databases and mine information in a more meaningful way," said Kristoffer Sheather, CEO at CloudCentral. "They’ll be able to see advanced analytics displayed visually and even build apps without having to use code.”
Similar to MicroStrategy’s vision of the impact of mobile technology on the future of how we transact business, CloudCentral had the vision to foresee the needs of local companies and government agencies in Australia for a complete, secure cloud environment.
Fazackerley and Sheather agree that whilst cloud does make geography less important, Australian customers should have a local option that offers local customer service and support as well as superb performance. Australian-owned also means CloudCentral meets Australian data sovereignty requirements giving its partners and their customer’s confidence that their data is not transferred overseas.
MicroStrategy customer, Mirus Australia, has been quick to take advantage of CloudCentral’s hosting services by migrating its Mirus Metrics Business Intelligence Solution for Aged Care facilities earlier this year. Mirus found that CloudCentral's cloud services introduced a new level of scalability and 30 per cent performance improvement in network refresh capabilities - all in a straightforward and affordable solution that meets stringent government criteria. Additionally the CloudCentral cloud model with mobility access brings business intelligence and analytics now to customers of all sizes - not just large enterprise - at a fraction of the traditional cost of ownership.
"We needed a solution that hosted data onshore and was approved by AGIMO (Australian Government Information Management Office). Not only did CloudCentral meet this requirement, they also offered compelling service and commercial terms. Our customers now have mobile access to enterprise-grade analytics software to help them optimize funding and the care of their residents without the need to manage technology infrastructure,” said Nick Gage, Director at Mirus Australia.
