The TRM53P pressure transmitter released by Millar Instruments is fully implantable, provides digital data transmission and operates through inductive power charging.
Developed in collaboration Telemetry Research, the TRM53P implantable transmitter is the first of its kind in the world to combine the medical company’s solid-state pressure sensors with the Telemetry technology. The sensor offers long-term reliability and reduces the overall cost of the device.
High-fidelity pressure measurements provided by the TRM53P sensor deliver all types of accurate pressures, which include LVP and dP/dT. This sensor is solid and can be mounted on a catheter’s tip, minimizes clotting, does not require gel, and enables measurement almost all locations. Digital data transmission facilitates measurement in a wider monitoring range, better multiple-animal cohabitation, and lifelong 24/7 monitoring of the animal.
The rechargeable battery integrated in the sensor eliminates the need for further refurbishment, thus allowing reuse by simple cleaning. The TRM53P pressure transmitter can be used in cardiovascular, toxicology, sleep research, neuroscience, behavioral studies, and safety testing applications. The next generation technology and solid state pressure features is all set to redefine pressure monitoring standards.
