A new hydraulic pressure comparator with industry-leading safety features and a high-pressure version of its popular XP2i test gauge have been introduced by Crystal Engineering. Both the GaugeCalHP pressure comparator and high-pressure XP2i test gauge are rated to 15 000 psi/1000 bar/100 MPa.
Applications include:
Pressure Comparator
The highly versatile GaugeCalHP is suitable for test and calibration use with water or oil, either in the field or the laboratory.
Key features include a fine adjust that is easy to use at 15,000 psi and a connection fitting with quick alignment swivel capability. A pivoting manifold rotates to fit large-size gauges. To increase stability, the device’s reservoir can quickly add a small amount of pressure to bleed air out of the weep hole. A drip tray captures excess fluid.
The patent-pending Crystal Pressure Fittings (CPF) add unique O-ring sealing for leak-free connections without tools The self-venting weep hole alerts users before they disconnect from a pressurized system. CPF fittings and hoses come with an industry first 4:1 safety factor.
Test Gauge
Crystal Engineering’s rugged, intrinsically safe XP2i pressure gauge is now available for pressures up to 15,000 psi. Key features include IP-67 rated, marine-grade enclosure (submersible up to 1 meter), a fast pressure safety valve (PSV) mode and a leak-free Crystal pressure fitting connection. Active Digital Temperature Compensation assures 0.1% of reading accuracy from -10 to 50° C.
The dual display version adds additional features, including leak rate, tare mode, and differential pressure (when connected to a second XP2i). The optional DataLoggerXP upgrade lets users record up to 32,000 data points and export the data into Excel.
