New, Advanced Camera with Thermal Imaging Sensor

Premier Electronics has introduced a new, sophisticated Arbel thermal imager for security and defence applications. The thermal imager provides a dual field of view that enables users to detect NATO objects at a distance of 6,200 meters and man-sized objects at 2,480 meters. The thermal imager uses a unique DSP-based platform and an Eye-R25 17 micron sensor.

The Arbel thermal imager can tackle adverse weather conditions such as dust, heat, high humidity, direct sunlight and rain. The thermal imager is resistant to shock and vibration and housed in a metal enclosure. The high-sensitive Eye-R25 sensor is capable of detecting targets in complete darkness.

The thermal imager can be utilized as an OEM sensor that can be combined with weapon sight systems, or as a stand-alone camera. The thermal imager has obtained Mil-STD 810E and MIL-STD-461D military clearances and can be operated in a wide range of temperatures from -30°C to 60°C.
