Pontimax Technologies LLC announced its revolutionary new personal safety and security product, yrConnected™.
Ray Keating, Managing Member of Pontimax Technologies LLC, said: "Finally there's a service that actually positively detects when there's a need to check on the welfare of a loved one". "yrConnected can detect when the person is immobile and alert caregivers to check on them". He contrasted the new service with pendant-based services that require the user to wear a pendant or bracelet. "With yrConnected, there's no requirement to wear anything so the user doesn't have to remember to put on anything – it just works. Perhaps even more importantly, yrConnected eliminates the requirement for the user to push a button to signal that they need help. Its sensors, in combination with its intelligent monitoring software, will detect immobility no matter the state of the user."
Mr. Keating noted that multiple studies have shown that pendants are not reliably worn, with one study disclosing that only 8% of users wear them at all times and other studies reporting that between 18% and 30% of pendant-based subscribers never wear them- they're completely unprotected. Of the individuals who wear them during the day, almost two-thirds of those take them off at night, when statistically the majority of accidents occur.
Not only can it reliably detect immobility, there are options for being alerted for the user wandering outside of the residence and anti-victimization for detection of the presence of additional individuals. You can also have yrConnected monitor for scheduled care support visits and let you know if the visit has occurred as it should (or not). yrConnected uses the power of the Web to keep the concerned caregivers connected via a private Google "Docs" web page so that they can electronically look-in on their loved ones welfare, at any time, no matter where they are. "Cloud computing" resources in fact support the entire service delivery platform to provide highly reliable service delivery.
