UTStarcom, a global telecommunications infrastructure provider, announced today that it will display its latest suite of broadband products at the upcoming CableLabs Summer Conference to be held in the United States from August 3-5, 2014.
UTStarcom will display three classes of broadband products encompassing integrated Wi-Fi solutions, packet optical transport products and Software Defined Networking. The Company's products help cable service operators easily and cost-effectively add functionality to their networks while controlling capital and operating expenditures, consistent with UTStarcom's "simple network, simple operation" product design philosophy.
UTStarcom's R&D and product development teams have recently unveiled innovations in these product lines that put the Company at the forefront of cable network technology. UTStarcom's carrier class Wi-Fi access controller (AC) solution supports over 120,000 access points within a single chassis, which is unrivaled in the market. The Company's latest packet optical transport solution supports 100Gigabit transmission. In addition, UTStarcom recently completed a successful proof of concept of its Software Defined Open Packet Optical Network technology that demonstrated its ability to enable dynamic and pre-planned "bandwidth on demand" provisioning on a Tier-1 carrier network.
CableLabs is a non-profit research and development consortium whose summer conference convenes cable service providers from around the world as well as technology suppliers. It is an important venue for UTStarcom to showcase its broadband technology to industry insiders including chief technology officers who work for potential new customers.
This is the first time that UTStarcom has participated in the CableLabs conference.The UTStarcom delegation includes Mr. William Wong, Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Steven Chen, Vice President of Product Management and Marketing and Mr. Zhaochen Huang, Vice President of Global Sales.
