A trailblazer in the field of multimedia semiconductor and solutions provider, Vimicro International Corporation, declared that China’s World Expo in 2010, in the city of Shanghai, would be retaining their video surveillance systems to provide security solutions.
This system reveals Vimicro’s capacity to use surveillance techniques on large-scale urban pursuits such as transportation, national security and environmental programs.
This system consists of High Definition IP cameras, an integrated control platform, wireless remote monitoring systems and smart monitoring. It uses computer analysis, to detect security risk zones , combine monitoring points and then alert, the relevant groups for scrutiny and action by the organizations, and also directly on the site via wireless systems. The technology used by the Vimicro installation is grounded on intellectual property, drawn explicitly, to satisfy the requirements of digital surveillance conventions or protocols.
According to Vimicro’s CEO and Chairman, Dr. John Deng, Vimicro has partnered Shanghai Mobile, a part of China Mobile to provide surveillance systems, ensuring security issues posed by Expo 2010 are sorted out. He added that, even though the markets for China’s video surveillance products have expanded quickly, Vimicro was confident of supplying products designed and built by using cutting edge technologies, thereby enhancing their status as a trendsetter in the market.
