The vibratory probe level sensor is one of the types of contact level sensor. They are not affected by changes due to conductivity, dust, pressure, temperature, and humidity. Working of vibratory probe level sensor is based on piezoelectric effect, electric signal is applied to one of two crystals which are based on internal portion of probes base. Due to electric excitation, one crystal undergoes physical deformation which generates probe vibration. When there is no material present around the probe, second crystal receives vibration of probe which causes the physical deformation, which produces voltage. Electronic circuitry examines the voltage change, and then changes the output accordingly. With suitable vibrating frequency and with proper sensitivity adjustment, vibratory probe level sensor can sense electrostatic material and fluidized powder.

Emerging economies such as India and China have shown significant increase in their demand for vibratory probe level sensors due to the increasing industrial automation in these economies.

Level sensors in developed countries are produced by adopting thin film technology, which is one of the main criteria set up by the regulatory bodies. Adoption of such sophisticated level sensor technology by the small scale level sensor manufacturers proves to be quite expensive in comparison to traditional level sensing technologies. This becomes a major market inhibitor curbing the growth of vibratory level sensors. This market is segmented and forecast based on application, component, and geography. The application segment of this market comprises consumer electronics, industrial sector, medical and military. Component segment covers piezoelectric devices, electromechanically switch, capacitor, and resistor. Emerson Electric, Siemens AG, Honeywell Sensing & Control, Asea Brown Boveri Ltd. (ABB), and Hauser AG are the major companies offering vibratory probe level sensor.

The report covers the drivers, restraints, and opportunities of the market. It also profiles all the major companies involved in this segment, covering their entire product offerings, financial details, strategies, and recent developments.
