Ecovent to Showcase Smart Thermostat System at 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show

Ecovent, maker of wireless vents and sensors for home heating and cooling systems, will showcase its smart thermostat system at the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ecovent solves the problem of having some rooms too hot or too cold for the 74 million U.S. households with central air heating and cooling.

At CES in Eureka Park, the flagship startup destination, Ecovent will be giving demonstrations on how its wireless system of sensors and vents automatically direct airflow to rooms where it’s needed. In initial installs, Ecovent dropped the temperature difference between floors from 15 degrees to 2 degrees while running the heating/cooling system 30 percent less.

WHEN: Tuesday, January 6 - Friday, January 9, 2015

WHERE: CES Tech West: Sands Expo & Convention Center, Booth 75105

WHAT: Ecovent extends the capabilities of smart thermostats by providing room-level temperature control and putting an end to heating and cooling empty rooms. The system consists of three components:

  • Climate sensors designed to fit any electrical outlet,
  • Intelligent wireless vents that adjust to the real-time temperature,
  • And an intuitive mobile app for iOS and Android platforms.

Ecovent works with existing central air systems by replacing floor, wall or ceiling vents and installs in under three hours without requiring construction, wiring or programming.
